I am Carla, full name Carla Andrez de Sousa. I am an official tour guide, a course I completed at ISLA between 1985/88.
I began my professional career as a tourism courier (tour leader) outside Portugal, particularly in Italy and Spain.

A stroll through the city of Faro! Many thanks to Gun Persson and our excellent guide Carla de Sousa. Additionally, many ladies participated in this visit, which included a good lunch.
In our 90 minute tour we felt that we got a very good history lesson. One that we will be able to look back on having enhanced our visit.
Don't be fooled by others claiming to guides. Carla is licensed to do tours while others are not. All licensed guides must where a medallion attesting to their status. So beware or better yet contact Carla!

Carla is a very seasoned guide with lots of experience and it showed in her knowledge, skills and interactions and made Algarve enjoyable for us.
Carla did a walking tour in Lagos yesterday for our group and it was fantastic. I’ve been coming to this area for 5/6 years and I learned so many things I didn’t know. She has a wealth of knowledge and she is entertaining too.
